Project owners and operators initiate the first basic engineering packages and may procure long lead equipment and novated items during the early engineering phases. The Operators or proponent offer their operational experience to contribute to the Front End Engineering Design (FEED) scope requirements. When the project is in the design and execution phases the owners and operators usually assign a Project Management Team (PMT) to oversee and regulate the work carried out by individual contractors is in line with the project scope requirements.
