Air Liquide announces the start-up of its global-scale hydrogen production site in Yanbu Industrial City, on the West coast of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Announced in 2010, this investment of more than 350 million euros represents both the largest industrial investment and largest “over the fence”1 hydrogen contract of the Group.
Total has signed an agreement to sell its 16.67% interest in the Schwedt refinery in northeastern Germany (Brandenburg) to Rosneft, which already holds indirectly an 18.75% stake in the facility. The transaction is valued at $300 million excluding working capital and remains subject to customary approvals.

Work has begun on the installation of core process equipment at the Gazprom Neft Omsk Refinery, part of a project on the reconstruction of the KT-1/1 atmospheric residue deep conversion complex. Reconstruction of this facility, first brought into production in 1994, is being undertaken as part of a wide-ranging modernisation programme at the Omsk Refinery.

The on-site installation of major facilities — fractionating columns, for the distillation of crude oil into various fractions — has recently been completed at the Gazprom Neft Omsk Refinery’s newly reconstructed AT-9 distillation unit. Installation of these columns (two of which exceed 50 metres in height) required the use of cranes capable of lifting up to 400 tonnes.
