Technology, engineering and project management company Neste Jacobs has been chosen as the EPCM contractor to design and implement the new biopropane production process at Neste Oil’s Rotterdam refinery. Neste Oil and Neste Jacobs have in cooperation developed the new production process, which enables the separation of biopropane from the sidestream gases of the NEXBTL process.
New facilities for the production of granulated sulphur have been brought into production at the Gazprom Neft Moscow Refinery. With a total production capacity of 2.5 tonnes per hour, the implementation of new technologies allows the Moscow Refinery to abandon the production of block sulphur and transfer to the production of commercial sulphur in granules.
ExxonMobil Chemical is increasing production of its high performance hydrocarbon fluids by about 10 percent through expansion projects at its Singapore and Antwerp facilities. GE Oil & Gas (NYSE: GE) today announced that it will provide France-based energy company Total S.A. with a variety of compressors for a refinery off-gas (ROG) expansion project at its Antwerp, Belgium, refinery complex. The project is part of Total’s $1.3 billion overall investment to expand and enhance the capabilities of its Antwerp refinery.
