Subsea 7 S.A. announced today the award of a contract valued at approximately $465 million for the engineering, procurement, construction and installation of sealines for a major shallow water development offshore West Africa.

Begun in December 2007, development of the Pazflor oil field 150 kilometers offshore Angola is one of the biggest projects currently operated by Total. A number of technological challenges — including subsea gas/liquid separation, a world first — are being met to bring the field on stream successfully.

Acergy said Wednesday it has been awarded a $190M contract from Petrobras for the Sul-Norte Capixaba Project, located offshore Brazil in water depths of between 30 metres and 100 metres.
