Production Drilling Started On Mariner

Production drilling has started on the Statoil operated Mariner field in the UK North Sea. Up to five wells will be drilled before the Mariner A platform hook up and commissioning activity starts next summer.  First oil is expected to be produced from Mariner in 2018.

First Solar Reaches 5GW Of O&M Assets

First Solar, Inc.'s (Nasdaq: FSLR) Operations & Maintenance group has announced it now has 5 gigawatts (GW) of assets in its portfolio of solar power plants, firmly establishing it as the largest solar O&M provider in the world.
Siemens has received an order to upgrade the simple cycle Santo Domingo de los Olleros power plant to combined cycle. The plant is near Lima, the capital of Peru. The customer is Peru-based supplier Termochilca SA. The combined cycle conversion will increase the power output by approximately 100 megawatts (MW). The improved efficiency will reduce the CO2 emissions per megawatt hour by 30 percent.
Aker Solutions will deliver a concept study on a new processing platform for future phases of the Statoil-operated Johan Sverdrup North Sea field, Norway's largest oil find in three decades.
