E.ON has placed a new order with the Nordex Group for a 228 MW project in the United States.
E.ON announced today that it will build the 228 megawatt onshore wind farm Bruenning’s Breeze in Willacy County, Texas. The wind farm will feature 76 three-megawatt turbines provided by the German manufacturer Nordex. Bruenning’s Breeze is scheduled for commissioning at the end of next year.

Siemens has signed an agreement in Berlin yesterday with Sudan's state-run energy provider Sudanese Thermal Power Generating Company (STPGC) to supply five SGT5-2000E gas turbines. These machines will deliver a combined electrical generating capacity of some 850 megawatts for the Sudanese national grid. All five power plant units are scheduled to already commence commercial operation at the end of 2017.
The new energy environment is taking hold faster than expected. E.ON drew this conclusion from the new World Energy Outlook, a study of global developments in the production and consumption of energy through 2040. Fatih Birol, the director of the International Energy Agency (IEA) - an independent body based in Paris supported by 40 countries – today presented the study in Berlin at the request of the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy.
Ormat Technologies, Inc. (NYSE:ORA) today announced that ORNI 47 LLC successfully issued and sold $92.5 million in aggregate principal amount of its 4.03% Senior Secured Notes due 2033.  The Senior Secured Notes were issued in a private placement transaction exempt from the registration requirements of the Securities Act of 1933, as amended, and were purchased in total by MEAG, the asset manager of Munich Re.
Siemens has received orders from Argentina for a total of seven SGT-800 industrial gas turbines and two Industrial Trent 60 gas turbines. This order marks the 300th SGT-800 machine that the company has sold worldwide. The turbines will provide a combined electrical capacity of approximately 500 megawatts (MW) and help fighting the electricity shortfall in Argentina.
