E.ON has placed a new order with the Nordex Group for a 228 MW project in the United States.
E.ON announced today that it will build the 228 megawatt onshore wind farm Bruenning’s Breeze in Willacy County, Texas. The wind farm will feature 76 three-megawatt turbines provided by the German manufacturer Nordex. Bruenning’s Breeze is scheduled for commissioning at the end of next year.
With Colbeck's Corner, E.ON is putting a new industrial-scale onshore wind farm into operation in the United States. The project, located east of Amarillo, Texas, has an installed capacity of 200 megawatts. The 112 turbines can generate enough energy to supply 64,000 households with CO2-neutral electricity.
Siemens has contracted with Pattern Energy Group LP to deliver, install and service a total of 141 wind turbines for the Broadview Wind project. Broadview Wind combines two adjacent projects in New Mexico and Texas with a total installed capacity of 324 megawatts (MW). Both onshore wind power plants will provide clean energy to meet the energy needs of approximately 180,000 average U.S. households.
Siemens has received an order to supply, install and commission 50 onshore wind turbines in Norway. Project developers are Zephyr AS and Norsk Vind Energi AS. Funds managed by BlackRock are providing equity financing for the project. The wind turbines, each with a capacity of 3.2 megawatts and a rotor diameter of 113 meters, will be erected in Rogaland south of Stavanger in Norway.
Siemens has received its first order from J-Wind Setana to supply, install and commission 16 direct-drive wind turbines with a capacity of 3.2 megawatts (MW) each. The customer is a joint venture between Electric Power Development Co. and Hokutaku Co.
Nordex has obtained a new project order in France for 13 N100/2500 turbines. Nordex will supply and install the turbines for the wind farm "Eplessier" owned by one of the funds TTR Energy manages.
Nordex has secured orders for two wind farms in the South West of Ireland totalling 42.5 MW, which will enter full operation in summer 2017. Both orders include a 15 year"Premium" full-service contract.
Siemens has been awarded an order for the Kinik onshore wind power plant in the Turkish province of Kinik, located 80 kilometers north of the city of Izmir. 17 direct drive wind turbines rated at 3.2 megawatts (MW) capacity each will be installed at the onshore project close to the coast of the Aegean Sea.
After careful consideration E.ON has made the decision not to progress with the proposed Isles Wind Farm project near Newton Aycliffe.
